It’s ALL GONE NOW !soon after I took this photo…this is WHY I started to take photos of  Graffiti Bristol ;)

after I moved back to Bristol, I’ve been to Bristol 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015,and 2017!

I don’t know why it’s so pinky(lol) memory from 2002, back in the day I just started to live in Bristol for new marriageI haven’t open this for years…! ( more than 15? years? or…) , then I just found it from the box. lol, these two guys are my fav ! from relaxmax flickr photos ( about 850 photogrphs 2002-2016?or… 14yeas or more I’ve been photographing and uploading photos on flikr ) ” GRAFFITI BRISTOL” pages where we share EYE PLEASURE!

I scanned in 2005 ( and try my best at that time to make into “white” not pink wall) with CANON ?

I sent this photo to Cheba in 2007? ( it was on flikr so he asked me via flickr mail…when have he left? didn’t know.. )

I was living and shooting with my eyes and lenses in EASTON BRISTOL… I had to live HARD LIFE in hard flat (where Somalian boy throw a stone at me ) because my husband at that time was DISABLED(and ME! I Can’t tell what is 欠けているかhere…) ;( …. so please give me money for my photos from that age in BRISTOL!

MY EARLY AGE WITH FILM ( and degital as well… my camera history as Photographer ;D)

 

Marriage, then GOT JOB I was making sandwich, making good Latte, got Social Insurance Number, living in Bristol, as foriner sometimes hursh memories in Easton Stone throw , my husband at that time is Disabled… ( He lived in Council flat, so I had no choice… ) Council flat 250 is this POVERTY?  these photos are MY LIFE in Bristol.

 

I just found out 2 weeks? ( around 1st March 2021) that, they already have 5th edition… ( if they have printing money, why they didn’t pay me first? are they user? 泣泣泣　they don’t treat me in good way,  MY FILM PHOTO , photographs, LIFE, copyright… MY LIFE IS NOT FREE!)

 

 

Otherbook, they have used my photos (Naked Guide to Bristol … Tangent books are they small? publisher? or  how I should discribe? are they rich at that time?(200? when was it? before 2007)  I was thinking they didn’t sell enough to pay me? but if they have money to print… please pay me first!!! it’s TOO LONG? … ahhh and I didn’t know it’s already 5th edition? ( maybe photo is different now? don’t know… book Cheba sent me was 2nd edition? ( with his autograph? drawing nec-tie ojisan ;D))

I don’t shoot with FILMS anymore( I want to do that again ;) if Tngent Books pay me! ) , price of FILM and development of FILM is cheaper in Japan at that time( compare to Bristol) I learned where is good to develop in Bristol …;) ( sometimes, I used cheap development ( is it from Tesco? or…? almost 20 years ago!)

その写真に対して使用する（の何枚かさえ知らせず！！！）お金の話も向こうから全くしてもらえず（きちんとした会社？何枚か教えてこないし、２nd editionの話も何も知らせてこない。、、、その後いま２０２１年まで、たまたま本amazonで見つけるまで何も知らなかった！！！）2007年のとき、結局どれを使用したと連絡さえなく、どの大きさ？どこに（表紙か中身か？など）わからないと値段て決めれない、私は。

ちゃんと出版（別edition?　日本語とかペーパーバックとか本人にはTangent Booksからお知らせなかったなー、かってに別の判型？edition?別の著者？？？？って出して写真無断で使っていいの泣？と言うか本、のってたら送ってほしかったなー、どれにのっているの？)　出してるから、正当な金額くださいね。

数千まんとか１億とかにしよッカナー（冗談！笑）just a …lol

写真をCHEBAに依頼され、flckrメールで連絡もらい送ったのはもう15年?以上前、その間そんなにいろんなeditionあったのですね。。。（5th edition まで？）別のもの印刷代あるのなら、写真にもお金ちゃんとお支払いするフツーの会社？というか出版元？て日本語なのかな？（去年、２０２０年に　別　の5th edition?)とか、調べる訳でないとわからない！私、relaxmx、写真家、カメラマン！アーティスト側は。

YOU(tangent books)はカメラマンに支払いせずに儲けたかったのかな？まずは写真のデータ送り返して欲しかったけど、CHEBA(当時の？デザイナー）は持っていないらしい、会社？の人でなくなったのはいつか知らない。送ったのZIPかな？そのままありますか？送ってくださーい！（知らないうちに5th editionまで出ていて、特にどの写真！（使いたい）ときちんと言ってくれていなくて（最終使用枚数、嘘つかれそーで、というか、本当のことってなに？？。だってしらないうちにいろんなedition?) 傷ついてまーす。

どうすればいいのか、わからなすぎて、怖いので、著作権についてわかる弁護士？必要？探したい。

弁護士さん？お願いするお金、まず作らないと何もできない！！（そのお金もいま手持ちない貧しさなので、この本の人？写真のせているデザイン？つくった人？つかった人？印刷する人？お金やりとりできる人？写真にお金、私の写真と知っている人？誰か、私にフツーの写真の使用料を払いたいと思ってくれる、この本に関わった、決定権とかあり、喜んで、私をたすけてくれる人？？どこ？）

（CHEBAは手元に持っていなくても、会社？どこのパソコン？に(どのeditionも残してる？）印刷データと元の写真データ当然ありますか？どの人の写真を送ってもらったかとか、普通、誰からの写真かなどはさすがに別ファイルでわかりやすいのなら、すぐにでもrelaxmaxのみとり出して、送ってもらえる？？、メールで。）

ここ読んでね、と確かCHEBAには、言っておいたメールで！　だから

の偉い人？というかこういうことの決定権あってお支払い意思ある方、社長になるのかな？（写真に値段つけるのは、 I , relaxmax!  の方が安全かなーというか弁護士さん、プロの方に助けてもらい、算出してもらったほうが安全かな、探します。。。英語できるかた、こういう海外の出版社が相手でもいける、おそらく日本人の、、、弁護士費用用意でき次第（I don’t want to stay poor…、だけど！I need money to ask…)）

CHEBAから返信で、もう会社で働いてない？かなんかで誰かのメール書いてあった。（その人写真に関して知ってる人？私のページ、どの写真とか教えてくれる？PDFかなにかわかりやすい？どうやったらわかる？　私の写真の元データだれも持ってないの？どうやったらあの本、（というか別editionの著者は、写真ただと思ってる？？許可、私の写真、どれ？知ってる？本当のこと？ちゃんとお金、使用したものに対して、（あと長期、無料でないのに、無許可?でずっと出版し続けていたことに対して、、どういう金額かは著作権に詳しい人に決めてもらいます。）

だれだろう？単に会社？かなんか？の誰か？？なのかなコンタクト取るとテキトーに扱われたら怖いなー

というか私もこんな長い経緯をどう英語で書いたら、ちゃんと理解してもらえるかわかりません！
お金何年も払ってくれていない会社（2007年から2021年、一度もお支払い私、relaxmaxになし！！０円はヒドーーーーい！）に、フツー、、次のeditionからは使用禁止！ぐらいでないと危険かな？コンテンツ人の写真データどうやって持ってたの？誰でも見れるパソコン？持ち帰り勝手にされたりするの？（というか、前のガイドブックも入れたらもっとかな、、、いつだったっけ？とりえず（なんというかインディ？超大手のしっかりしたところ）ではなさそうで、そんなお金ない（売れてない？）から払えてなかったのかな？（と思ってたら、もうすでに５th　editionだったので、さすがに払ってもらっていい）

 

 

写真？？？再配布とか、勝手にされない？

安全？な会社なのかな？ここ。。。

長く（２００７−２０２１）、お支払いする意思を向こうからの提示もなく、

（テキトーに今まで扱われてきて)

自分で直接話すより、安全を考慮したい。relaxmax、Artist, 写真家として、その作品自体も！テキトーに扱われてしまっていたのかな？と感じます。。。amanaに預かってもらった方が安全かな、と今後はその方向で調整中。。。（本当はこういうBANKSYの初期のレアなもの、（特にそれを売りたいと思っていたわけで、、、というか商売っ気、みたいな意味で）おあずけするとか、そこまで考えていませんでした。だけど、個人でやりとり、もう、絶対無理（信用、、、てナニ？）

this one is prob with …?　（ I have Virtical and Horizontal… it’s really special to have SLIDE on my room WALL…VELVIA slide before I LFET BRISTOL from my FIRST EVER BOUGHT SLR! no one can make it! ( me neither!, I have body but no lens i already sold…) and WALL is not SAME!) )

I knew where

These photos, I just went back with my camera to local areas because, I knew ( from my daily life , it’s not somewhere “oh I want to find” , I already knew) then took time (i mean… go out with Camera! before mobile phone age, do you always go out with your camera? I guess I wasn’t…) to photograph with my CANON IXY or NIKON.

After I moved back to Japan（20 years almost!）, I don’t really walk around those areas ( Easton, some harsh memory…from that age) , maybe 1 time, I try find the hole ( of ” it’s all gone now”) but I guess it wasn’t. looked like it, then I … ah my memory just came back ( and keep it secret in me!) somewhere local .

 

learned about BANKSY from book shop where Banksy’s screen print ltd100? sold ( I wonder why I didn’t buy??) , next to bicycle shop, Greenleaf book shop, It was before I got my own bicycle so I guess I just arrived Bristol summer 2002?) they sell “Existencilism” ( I didn’t buy from them ( later they sold out?) and got it from bolder’s ( it’s gone?… ) In Bristol, there is many good book shops…I don’t remember if I have ever seen BANKSY in the town before I read “Existencilism” …( maybe? maybe Old market st. one, I have seen?)

2002年当時のrelaxmaxのじぶんちの近所（Eastonのどこか、、これは屋根も面白い；D）

Not too far from my flat back in 2002 ( walking distance?)

Probably I was photographing this wall without knowing THIS IS BY …(I was just photographing street art in local areas…)

 SOME LOCAL GRAFFITI 

(多分、近所の面白い壁と思って写真撮っていただけで、BANKSYと知らなかったんじゃないかな、、撮影した時、特にBANKSYだけを撮影していたわけじゃなくって、いろんな面白いstreet artを撮影していた。多分後でだれかがおしえた？

なつかしー！やってたなーステンシル笑！あこがれてたんだ笑！！！（すっかり忘れている！）

I almost forgot…

while I was living in Poverty as foreigner ( council flat in Easton, my husband is disabled) , I try get the job at the cafe, ( was difficult but I got THE JOB! at the cafe 5 pounds per hour ( 4 pounds for transport 45 or 47 to Center from Easton! in winter time morning was still DARK not like in Japan, sometimes I cycle to the center in the dark (scary to use round about path way…in Easton) or I try walk longer and use different bus stop coz bus fee is cheaper( like 2 pounds? rtn? dont remember exactrly…) around 20 pounds per day… then I BOUGHT BOOKS FROM YOU, THAMES and HUDSON ( THE EARTH from the AIR ( gift ;D!) , STENCIL GRAFFITI, STREET LOGOS, Graffiti Brazil! ) so when I met Sanigar, my proposal was “my red WINDOW BOOK,small gift, easy to buy , cheap , children can ask their parents ” I WANT THAT!” )…Water stone(bookshop) is gone now…

 

This is not the one  but something like this… round about path way…in Easton

I cycled in the dark during the winter to work ( cafe in the center)

so different life style compare to JAPAN… ( I don’t really have to scare cycle in the dark ( I mean for going to work kind of station, I lived, and now I live…)

I don’t remember, how safe, or how easy to take Street Art in local EASTON area or other areas ….in 2002 or 2003 or…,

If I carry big camera , I might stand out… ( I guess in this area , at that time One Japanese? ( and some other asian people ?) my flat was full of Somalian people) so IXY was good choice!

small! light, easy to carry ( and EASY TO HIDE! in my bag)

But once, Police car stopped by me, I had camera, (SLR) big one, “(Camera , better to put in your bag) Better to leave! ( kind of word, not safe alert, about 18 years ago… its fainted memory, I don’t remember their word exactly but I DO remember I had big camera ) and I said,” I am not alone, I m with my friend ( my husband at that time were around) ” …but it was I guess if I AM ALONE or WITH SOMEBODY doesn’t matter…Probably, for my husband, it was Okay (not bad? kind of safe? i guess so we were there?) I just walk to him and said to my husband at that time, “I just been told, “BETTER TO LEAVE” ” （probably my husband at that time doesn’t know before Police advise…)

 

If I could’ve choose where to live, My choice is St.Andrews…(where my friend’s are…different vibes ;D easier to live… (no underground? path way to go to work in the dark and close to the park!) I had no choice ( cos my hasband at that time is DISABLED living in Council flat in Easton…CAR STOLEN from the carpark (and found somewhere? I almost forgot??…) stolen parts from the car… ( is this happening anywhere?) )

Neighbourhood Watch … Ididn’t really know what this sign? means….at that time and when I searched now…it says

“help to prevent and tackle crime in your community” て、今見たら書いてあったけど。。。（どのぐらいのsafety?)

I just bought NEW CAMERA and LENSE ( in Japan! ) very expensive for me ! coz I was living in poverty in hard life flat  with Disabled ME husband.!.. I didn’t really know dangerous or how … scary or… (for me, I had stone through…) until I came back and live in JAPAN… I sort of thinking at that time ,” this is U.K. this is England” ( not JAPAN) … but is this EASTON … it’s EASTON??!! and try to adapt? ( 我慢じゃないけど、、、何とかがんばってたよ。違う国に住むと、いろいろ自分の母国でないと、普段おこらない（石投げられるとか！、、、よっぽどトラウマみたい。）

Dont’t remember how much exactly.. but Brand new ( I had to ask my mum to send me , coz it was not in time for my flight…?)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Did it in ’97  　PARAT OF MY LIFE AS LOCAL 2004

(somewhere … not too far from my flat in Easton (bicycle distance ..)…I found it on the way to shops(St. marks rd )？

I just found it with my OWN EYES and EARS! ( not really info I found on internet when I was living ( 2002とか）, and I didnt have internet access in council flat, so I had to go to local internet place ( to write my friends in Japan) or … to library…( We can use internet for free…) Now I can use internet anytime ( with my red I phone7…) so different…!

When I try search where Banksy’s peace are nowadays with internet ( I don’t remember street names any more.. it’s been almost 20 years… , I just KNEW where they are ( or were)  from my life as local at that time) , I could find some info ( and photos) …I just found out, the PIECE ( of Banksy’s or ALL GRAFFITI or street art IN THE CITY) will fade away…fainted paint, different colour…! NEAR WHERE I USED TO WORK 　2006? Bristol

This piece is NEAR WHERE I USED TO WORK.…! (bottom of park street)BEFORE BLUE PAINT

I was making sandwiches ( 3F) watching Colston clock tower, making good coffee ( Wogan? I guess)  serving White Tea to Nanns on Saturday after Bristol cathedral…people around the shop always queuing for buying their lunch .. ( It was fun to smile and Cheers! to them good to know local faces…! ) ALSO I learned the word ” TA” (means thank you ;D!)

 

Avery’s ( where I had photo exhibition from Morocco, Wine cellar they had since 17 century!  I loved Dry white they sell! I always try find similar wine in Japan … !) My friend who is from Bath, said “ I can almost hear the sea from the photo…” ( good comment I DO remember…)

where I used to work, I could see Colston tower clock, ( I can check the time :D) I was happy working there… equal opportunity…! for Japanese British French Indian Irish…or..I can work with good condition! ( good to belong to the society…BRISTOL! …so important to “BE PART OF IT”…I can feel this way because I CAN WORK! at the cafe, I really LOVE! good sweet memories! I love pastries from them ( I still try make carrot cake I used to buy from WOODES CAFE! … where I used to belong! for a short period! but I got ETERNAL FRIENDS from my past good memories….! when I search, doesn’t change at all from the photo, maybe little bit of change? I do have photos from WOODES colleagues they gave me special gift! I do have( still blank inside ;D!) and I don’t know why I can’t take photo…of Owner and his colleagues ( lady… always handed in my money … it was nice feeling and after work, I went up I it’s steap hill … and I could buy WHAT I WANT! THANK YOU MY JOB! I FEEL I AM PART OF BRISTOL… after I GOT JOB! )

昔働いていたカフェ、６０年代からPARK STREETにあるお店！、ブリストルで初めて働いた場所；）のすぐそば。

サンドイッチ作って、コールストンホールのとこの時計眺めつつ。

コーヒーを入れて

お会計して「ありがとうございまーす！』とっても楽しく働いていた！

仕事やっとできるようになって、（社会への帰属感、最初の５、６ヶ月、VISAの関係で働くことできない！結婚後、VISA切り替えてやっと、労働！できるようになって！！）

そこで覚えたのは　”TA” (=Thank you ;D!、私は言ったことなかったけど、オーナーさんが教えてくれた、、、というか使っていたよ、その単語！）

日本に帰ってからも、そこでよく買っていた！（サンドイッチは無料！コーヒーとかも確か！　pastryのみ半額？かな！よくキャロットケーキを買っていた！）キャロットケーキ探したり、自分で焼いてみたり！

短いあいだだったけど、「一生のともだち」に出会えた！とても嬉しい！ご縁があった！

そんなの、そこにいた当時は何も知らない。（それこそ、何か運命の糸、織りなすタペストリー、、そういうのが結果的に、歴史と呼ばれる絵巻物？）

日本へ戻るチケット（１年オープンで買っていて）そのチケット使って日本に一時帰国、その辺りでみじかいながらもそこは卒業。（その次は、もっとアップマーケットな水辺のおしゃれなレストラン！腰痛めてやめたけれど、、、チップも結構弾んでもらえていたのかな？　なんか、もらえなく　ざんねん）　そのとき、みんなからの記念の品、写真を入れるアルバム（キャンベルの缶、実はまだブランクで使っていない！）そこにははさんでいないけど、みんなのポートレイトをお店で撮影した、FEと55mm。なぜだかおぼえていないけど、オーナーさんとその同僚（というか会計の女性かな？手渡しでもらって（後に銀行かな？）いたこともあった気もするな、、、SIとるのでお世話になった！確か、そんな感じ）そこで出会えた一生の友達！ETERNAL FRIENDS!

いろんな肌の色の人、いろんな国籍（おそらく意図的、意識されてたかな？） equal opportunityと私は感じた！

 

ここの前のバス停使って、仕事に通っていた。このすぐ地下にあるワインショップのオリジナル？の白ワイン（table wine? 白！スッキリフルーティ！辛口！もお気に入りだった！！あれ、また飲みたいなー！！！確か、ブリストルから引っ越ししたあと、夏の休暇で戻ったとき、一度はAveries には行ったかな。実はそのワインセラーでモロッコの写真展示したことがある（venueにも紹介してもらったなー、１行インフォみたいなの。当時きてくれたバース出身の友人は「海の音が聞こえてきそうな写真！て言ってくれたのを思い出した！

 

その当時（2002）、近所のお店のスタッフさんたちがお昼ご飯（サンドイッチ）を買いにきてくれていて、顔なじみの方がたくさん増えいて、、、だから楽しい思い出！あるなー；）（下でcoffee 入れて、上に上がるとキッチンが、、、サンドイッチメインキングしながら”COLSTON のタワーの時計見ていたなー）

 

近所のお店で買ったCDとかなぜだかLA?のファンクのCDをDrum’n’Bassの街で買ったり、地元のアーティストの音楽をどうして買わなかった？と今となっては少しの後悔笑　後に2005年Berlinで見つけることになるBANKSYのあのカンバスをCDかなんか買ったらプレゼント！みたいな太っ腹なことやってたなーimperial records ( そこでQuantic の１st、試聴機に入ってて一聴きぼれ！）。のちにベルリンで同じみたいなステンシルを２箇所？で発見。なんか頑張って（お仕事してもそこまで給料多くはなく、日本より、という意味で。外国だし。言葉はフツーに仕事できるぐらいにはなってたかな、１月スタートとか？ほんの数ヶ月だけど、とても楽しいことも、今も友人でいてくれている人もいて！）買ったオイル加工のジャケット（MOTELってとなりの店、イギリスで買ったお洋服だから、イギリスの思い出でまだ持っていて、残っている）とか、あとBristol Guildだったかな？いろんな素敵なものが売っているお店、記念の品探して、そこで！プレゼントしたなー！５５DSLのジーンズをpark streetで買って（今もう流石に手元にはないかな？）履いてたなー！（そこでもらっていたフリー雑誌は、、、Bristolにはそのお店にしか置いてなかった。。。）

そういうどうでも良さそうな、でも普段思い出すこと、あんまりないような、ディテール思い出した。。。

but the wall surface is not too good (for pasting up) , so I found different place! ( and got permission)

I’m leaving tomorrow, so I wanted to have one before my flight…! this was my only chance to do this!  coz when I pasted up, I was with my friend, and I took window itself, but I forgto to take selfie of WINDOW and ME!)

 I wanted to photograph with FUJI VELVIA slide films

before I moved out from Bristol 2004 summer  ( to record with GOOD POSI – FILM! ( made into slide… so I can see as “slideshow” on the wall…) in this building, I found many graffiti( including CHEBA!!! I saw your’s here…)

 

I also took some movie before I left U.K. ( I never SEE, VIDEO TAPES ( 8mm? ) I try make it into DVD or…). It wasn’t the age with I phone movie ( easy to take movie anytime with my mobile nowadays…)

 

 

BRISTOL PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY  (3month course 2002 winter?

SELF TAUGHT（NO university, NO art school, or No camera school before Bristol)wher I went to

NIKON FE ( manual, 55mm lens…I ‘ve been using...I learned about difference of “LIGHT”… in the morning? noon? or… different colour.. I did Black and White development ( one and only ! experience with the help of teachers or professional photographers? … I don’t remember their names… it was in Clifton…I do remember some faces maybe?… ;D! I still have those film…)One thing I DO REMEMBER from their word… ” TAKE MORE PHOTOS, SHOW MORE PHOTOS to the peoole! ” (how to become better?)

 

I didn’t know much English about CAMERA … like “APERTURE is 絞り in Japanese ( needed to use 電子dictionary…! so took time to read text papers, ONLY 3 month …since I arrived Bristol it was hard to listen what people are speaking ( too quick ) difficult, but I COUD! I WAS TRYING HARD!)

 

I was wondering how I can photograph better way  not like grainy with IXY aps film 400ISO or…then I learned ” POSI – film”  is more expensive and better… bought and bring them back from Japan?( it’s cheaper) and took VELVIA (fuji film) photos before I LEFT BRISTOL… ( my camera choice is for light weight traveler(wanted to buy zoom lens!笑）… I SHOOT ON THE ROAD!) 

I got MY NIKON ( auto camera) and new lense…in 2003、4? this was my first ever bought SLR  BY MYSELF!

FE was gift from my friend teacher ( I miss him,K-sensei,  I haven’t met him for long time… I want to find him ( lost contat… ) because, he gave me his Camera, I started to use NIKON…!( I’ve used CANON for my job as well…good 100mm!)

 

I choosed VELVIA! because, I LOVE THE COLOUR OF BLUE SKY!

 

NEW lenses NEW BODY and POSI FILM(VELVIA) … and CHOOSE TO PHOTOGRAPH VERY FINE WEATER! ( in most of the time grey sky Bristol…)

I know 曇り（cloudy) is better for flat light ( 光が回る?）, but  I prefer STRONG COLOUR! UNDER THE SUN! I CHOOSE COLOUFUL VELVIA ( You can choose whatever YOU choose…!)

 

 

I only photographed  10 posi-film ? (360 photographs?)

in MY LIFE ( VELVIA )  MOROCCO2014 and BRISTOL 2014

 

 

( maybe! ) I went onto NEW degital camera….( only a year or… Of course, I still have the NIKON body! MY FIRST EVER BOUTH  during my Bristol age)

then when I started to use Degital Camera, MY colour ( in my heart) is always something like THIS VELIVIA BLUE ( kind of.. something strong… around that period of my LIFE 2005…. then I went onto…
