Earlier this year, Alex Webb returned to the streets of Mexico, 50 years after his first trip in 1975, when he began photographing what would become his celebrated book La Calle, published by Aperture in 2016.
I said to him “I want to walk with you”…I was really nervous but…:) “and take some pictures with you in Oaxaca 2018!”
For Alex, it was after a long time. (after 90s? He didn’t come back to Oaxaca?)
He said “I don’t do that kind of things.”(I forgot exactly what he said but it was a first night on the roof top of their hotel, I was staying with my local friend.)
The meeting itself ran behind closed doors at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie from Wednesday to Sunday. With only minor changes to the current Magnum Board, Gregory Halpern, Lorenzo Meloni and Newsha Tavakolian remain Magnum co-presidents for the coming year.

I forgot exactly what Alex said to us pupils, but something similar ;D
It’s better to shoot another one hour after you might think “this enough”,

M.7.2 Erthquake happened( February 16, 2018 at 17:39)…
After seeing those photos (5 photos from Alex and Rebecca’s choice) ,
I realized true-self more clear than ever.
This is what I did for making dummy ( after workshop in Feb in Oaxaca, I started book-edit in May 2018 ( after I had HIMATSURI exhibition at Jyunpu elementary school in April as KG＋ )
I just sticked my photos on the wall and talked with them!

This is what I was reading ( got when I was 15? On the road Jack kerouak , I brought with me in 2012 and I left somewhere ( I know where it was, I hope to get it back if its still there… hopefully!)
I didn’t know that there was big earth quake until I got back home in Oaxaca city centro.
My friend told me, and I just cryed…!
I felt my vision somehow cleared by shock of earthquake (It didn’t happen where I was … on the road, but there was!)
I cried, and thank god and nature.
Then I finished my edit of Oaxaca magic ( choice was almost as I selected , few photos my teacheres didn’t use for final edit, I was arranging in chronological order, then Alex and Rebecca helped me to seaquence images in different order with their VISIONs)

Mr. and Mrs. Nakagawa was traveling together (15? years it said in Obi from newspaper in Australia?) on Earth! (70s! it was 360 yen = 1USD!) worked and saved up in NY for 2 years and got his Camera…( They didn’t fly (maybe no FLIGHT? kind of “AGE”? … they travel by SHIP!)
After long journey, Mr. Nakagawa had exhibition in Ginza, met Mr. Katsui! he was so into Mr. Nakagawa’s photos ! so! Photo book “TIMELESS” designed by Mitsuo Katsui was born!
Mr. Katsui is (really really Famous Designer! …(but when I was in my 20s I didn’t know much about him…his Design at MOMA(don’t know which one …) and He was art director for Osaka Expo! in 60s!

is the first book I got
after I thought, Okay! I want to take photos! more:)!! (in Morocco, I met children in the dessert and they said “It’s tranquil here…relaxmax)
